Mission to Mars!

The Joseph Swan Academy name is going interplanetary, with our details being placed on a microchip and launched to Mars aboard the InSight Rover as part of NASAs next mission to the red planet!

Launching in May, the rover will investigate the internal structure of the planet and help scientists understand the causes of ‘Mars-quakes’.

As the rover carries out its mission (over 300 million miles from Earth) it will carry the Joseph Swan Academy name. Maybe we can even arrange for a few extra-terrestrial exchange students…
