There are many sound, practical reasons for having a compulsory uniform. Perhaps the most obvious reason is that it removes the burden of having to decide what to wear each day. More importantly, however, our uniform has a great deal to do with Grace College’s ethos. Students are encouraged to take pride in themselves and their appearance at all times. Parents are asked to give their vital support in maintaining the very high standards by adhering to the lists set out in the link below.
The Grace College uniform consists of:
Navy blazer with College badge*
White firm collared shirt into trousers or skirt (boys and girls)
Green sleeveless jumper*
Grace College tie*
College skirt* or black tailored trousers, not fashion trousers, no “skinny” trousers
Black leather or leather look school shoes – not training or leisure shoes
A bag (not a shoe bag) for books and other equipment including a pen, pencil, ruler and eraser.
Students are not permitted to wear any jewellery with the exception of a watch.
Students should wear their hair tied back and hair should not be dyed an unnatural colour. Further details can be found in the Student Code of Conduct.
Information regarding how the new College uniform will be phased in can be found in Continuing to Move Towards Outstanding Together
