Lakeside Challenge 2017

Last week, a group of six girls in year 10 went to the Lake District to take part in the Lakeside Challenge at the YMCA outdoor activity centre. This is a competition between schools across the country, where each team takes part in exciting activities such as raft building and obstacle courses.

One of our favourite activities was the night walk across the fell, which involved using our map reading and orienteering skills to navigate the team to different locations, whilst in the dark.

All of the girls really enjoyed the weekend and demonstrated excellent problem-solving and communication skills throughout, finishing in a remarkable third place! We will look forward to competing in this event again next year.
