Student Council 

This week in Grace College we held our student council elections for 2020-21. The Student Council is a group of elected students across all years, who represent the views of students in making our community better. We are looking to attract enthusiastic and committed students who want to make a difference to our school community. Meetings take place every term, where we discuss important aspects of school life with council members and give them the opportunity to give feedback on what is working well and what we could do to improve things further.  

We will be electing one tutor representative per each class to form a year council of eight or nine students. All students who applied must have completed an application form, wrote a personal speech, and delivered this in front of their tutor peers. A vote then took place to elect the winning representative. From here we will hold a further election for two members of each year group to join the full student council. Representatives will join our already elected Vice Presidents from Year 12, Rosie Greatorex and Euan Gray and our two Presidents from Year 13, Head Boy, Charlie McKenna and Head Girl, Faith Ramsay.
