Today, 30 of our Year 8 pupils took part in the Faraday Challenge. This is a STEM event where pupils are asked to design and make a prototype to meet a brief. This year, the brief was to design a product for a children’s hospital to make life better for either the patients, parents or staff.
Today, 30 of our Year 8 pupils took part in the Faraday Challenge. This is a STEM event where pupils are asked to design and make a prototype to meet a brief. This year, the brief was to design a product for a children’s hospital to make life better for either the patients, parents or staff.
The event was organised and run by the Institute of Engineering and Technology who STEM teachers by providing a range of resources linked to the UK curriculum and partnering with organisations to create experiences that inspire teachers and students alike.
The pupils worked very well and came up with some fantastic ideas throughout the day.
